A feeling of peace and calm descends over you as you enter the ruins of something that must once have resembled a church. There are a few high, stained-glass windows still intact, and in these are depicted a handsome green-eyed man and a silver-haired girl.
An object at the other end of the church catches your eye. At first it appears to be some sort of podium, but as you come closer, you see that it is made of stone.
You stand in front of it, running a hand over the smooth marble, somehow unmarred by time. As you wipe ages of dust off the top of the momument, you see letters carved into the stone.
Speak not of the airships. That is not Wendor.
Speak not of houses, the weather, or lore.
Houses decay, weather changes, and lore is lost.
Speak instead of the people.
They are Wendor.
As you turn and leave the church, you realize that the quote rings true even now.
In fond memory of the Guild City, Wendor. May you live on in the hearts of the people, o city of dreams.
